How many different ways can you think of to sort your toys? e.g. sort by size, by colour...

Playing Card Sums

Turn over 2 playing cards. Can you add together the 2 numbers? You could count the symbols to see how many there are altogether.

Collect 5 small items from around your home. Estimate their weight then check using a scales. How close was your estimate?

Recognising Coins

Ask to borrow a small collection of change. Look at the pictures on the coins and use crayons to make rubbings of the patterns. Can you total the coins and work out how much there is altogether?
