Blow up a balloon and see how long you can keep it in the air! Don't let it touch the ground!
Skipping
Grab a skipping rope and practise your skipping skills. How many times can you jump over the rope without stopping?
1 Minute Challenges
Set a timer for 1 minute. How many times can you do the following activities in 1 minute?:
hop, skip, jump, run across your garden, do a star jump, sit down and stand up, run up and down the stairs.
Fitness Circuit
Make a fitness circuit in your garden.
Try to make the activities varied: throwing, jumping, running, ball skills etc.
Complete your circuit, spending about 3 minutes at each activity.
Target Practice
Make a target and place it on the floor or against a wall. Can you hit the target? You could try kicking, throwing and bouncing a ball. How many times can you hit the target in 1 minute? Can you improve on your score?
Yoga
Yoga is great for the body and the mind! Try to work through the yoga poses attached. Remember to breathe deeply as you hold each pose.
Dance Routine
Make up a dance routine to a song you like. You could try some literacy dance moves by listening to the lyrics of the song (a bit like our Comic Relief dances!).
Teach your routine to a friend of family member.
Stair Challenge
Set a timer for 1 minute. How many times can you walk or run up and down a flight of stairs in 1 minute?
See if you can beat your record each week.
You can make this harder by adding on more time.
