Concert Band is our entry level band class at Joseph George Middle School. It encompasses all grade levels, and includes beginning band students as well as incoming 6th graders who have taken band in elementary school. Students in this class learn proper breathing techniques, instrument care and maintenance, and develop their instrumental music skills.

A typical concert band setting includes variations of flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone/euphonium, tuba, and percussion. Piano and guitar are not typically included in a concert band setting.
