When classes are not in session, the classrooms are open to students from Monday to Friday between 8am and 7:00pm.
Year 5 students are responsible for the keys.Â
For energy-saving reasons, only the computer rooms on the 1st floor will remain accessible after classes; the 2nd floor will therefore be closed. Only Year 5 students are entitled to attend.
Offices: The reception/students' office is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 12.30pm and 3pm to 5pm. The administration offices are open Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm and from 2pm to 5pm. The Audiovisual office is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am to 12.30pm and from 1.30pm to 5pm.

Only students trained in stagecraft from Year 2 onwards are authorised to submit bookings to the Audiovisual Department.
When you arrive at the school, you will be given a badge. You are responsible for it throughout your studies and it must never be lent.
For security reasons, access to ARTFX by people from outside the school requires prior authorisation from the management. A document to fill in is available at the reception if necessary.
The badge is used to enter the school via the external pedestrian gate, and to access the building and upper floors via the staircases.
A digicode system is used to enter the building. The badge is only used to access the rooms.
Here is the code: 001358 (it must not be divulged to anyone outside the school for security reasons).
Badges are used to ensure the security of the building, equipment, students and staff. If you lose your badge, please report it to reception immediately.Â
Replacement will be at your own cost (€15)
Classrooms must be left clean. Students are responsible for keeping the classrooms clean.
Computer rooms and classrooms are dedicated to work. To eat, students must leave the room. Water bottles are permitted, but must be placed on the floor.
At the end of each lesson, please clear your table of all papers and other items (tape, pencils, etc.) and return the tables and chairs to their places. Please note that tables and chairs are not to be moved from one room to another, and cables are not not to be pulled.
If you have to do any cutting or painting, make sure you protect the tables with the material available from the control room. Trash cans are available on the premises and outside for your waste. Aerosol cans of paint should only be used outdoors, as should felt-tip pens containing alcoholic solvents.
Finally, ball games are forbidden on school premises.
Under the Evin law, smoking is strictly prohibited on school premises (car park, green areas and buildings). A smoking area is provided near the access ramp (see map). You are responsible for keeping this area clean: cigarette ends must be disposed of in the ashtrays.
Failure to comply with this rule increases the risk of fire and endangers the whole school. Penalties will be imposed, ranging from exclusion from the school to removal from the smoking area.
Best practices :
Remember to switch off your computer after use (tower and screen)
If you are the last person to leave the room, remember to turn off the lights
Don't throw batteries, printer cartridges and electronic equipment in the bins: they can be recycled at the Régie.
Please respect the work of the cleaning staff. If you notice a breakdown or damage,Â
Please report it to the building management: benjamin.euzet@artfx.frÂ
In the event of a fire alarm, gather under the "assembly point" sign located on the lawn across the main entrance to the building.
Please assemble by class.
In the event of a fire alarm, gather between the main entrance and the access gate to the premises. Please gather by class.
At the start of each half-day lesson, the teacher will take attendance to check that all students are present.Â
This will facilitate the work of the emergency services in the event of a problem.
During assembly, student attendance must be checked by the teacher, who must follow the fire instructions.
The school buildings are under permanent remote surveillance, even when the alarm is switched off.
For safety reasons, entrance doors and emergency exits must remain closed at all times. Do not block the main entrance door when it is open.
Your login and password will be given to you at the beginning of the year. Once you have received them, you will be responsible for reading your emails.
The various tools in the Google suite are used throughout the year, including Calendar, Google Drive, Google Chat, Gmail, Google Docs, Google Slides and many others.Â
Without access to this suite of tools, you could miss out on a great deal of information.
Each class has its own Gmail address:
promo + year of graduation + - + campus + @artfx.frÂ
Example: promo2027-mtp@artfx.frÂ
Each cohort has a Gmail address:
1st letter of campus location + year + - + class name + @artfx.fr.Â
Example : m2-2d@artfx.frÂ
Each student is given :
A Google Calendar account
A connected Google Drive account with storage space
A personal Gmail address: firstname.familyname@artfx.frÂ
(ex : Stanley Kubrick = stanley.kubrick@artfx.fr)
Please note that addresses that were created prior to the start of the 2022 academic year were made up differently: first letter of the first name + surname + @artfx.fr
You can access these email addresses via the Gmail platform. For the first connection, enter the following password.Â
Password : Welcome2526%
If you forget your password, you can reset it via Gmail. To do this, you need to enter your personal email address or a telephone number associated with your Gmail account.Â
If this is not the case, you will need to issue a ticket by email to itsupport@artfx.fr.Â
Students already registered with ARTFX last year have not undergone any changes. Your email address and access settings remain unchanged.
Each teacher is given a Gmail address:
firstname.familyname@artfx.frÂ
In your shared drive you will find a document called "INTITULES_MAILS_MTP_ARTFX_2025-2026". This will make it easy for you to find a contact, whether it's a member of the administration, the teaching team or the email address of a class.
The website ARTFX STUDENT (student.artfx.school) is the software used to deal with the students' school year.
The students will be able to see different informations :Â
assignments
grades
schedules (and export on Google Calendar)
tardinesses and absences
class charts with photographs
administrative documents (report, school certificates, etc.)
heads of pedagogy contacts
Notification: students can check the latest relevant records: Tardies, absences, new assignments or projects to complete, etc.
Coming soon: Reminder emails when students are approaching the deadline for an assignment they have not yet turned in.
You will be able to connect with your ARTFX Gmail account.
Schedules may vary from week to week and can be changed at any time, so you need to check it regularly. It can be accessed via student.artfx.school and synchronized with your Google calendar.
To ensure you have all the latest updates, you need to log in/out at least once a month.
For safety reasons, attendance is taken at the beginning of each lesson. Out of respect for the teacher, the class and yourself, students must be on time (early!). No lateness will be tolerated, and the teacher in charge of the class may refuse a student’s late arrival .
In addition, any absence must be justified by a medical certificate (solenn.gratien@artfx.fr) (to be submitted within 72 hours of returning to class). It is therefore your responsibility to make arrangements with the lecturer and/or course leader to make up for the missed class(es). Recorded absences may therefore be grounds for refusal of promotion to the next class level..
Any assigned activity must be delivered to the teacher. Details of delivery are given in the workshop brief (on the website student.artfx.school).Â
Important: you must hand in your work, as it is better to hand in imperfect work than nothing at all.
Submissions via email will not be accepted. All assignments must be delivered to a shared Drive in a dedicated folder set up by the IT department. You might be required to send a notification of your delivery via the app student.artfx.school.

At the end of each semester, pedagogical coordinators send a report card to each student. Those can also be consulted directly on student.artfx.school.
Were a student to doubt their ability and desire to continue with their studies for any reason, they should not hesitate to request a meeting with their department head.
Students of year 1 and year 2 have access to classrooms and vacant computer rooms for their work and personal research. They should check the availability of rooms on the timetable or on the home screen, then make the booking request to the educational coordinator: coordination-pedagogique-mtp@artfx.frÂ
Audiovisual equipment (cameras, tripods, cameras, reflectors, sound recording equipment, lighting, etc.) is available within the strict scope of group or personal (demoreels) school projects, or within your training sessions on this AV equipment. You can borrow it in the audiovisual control room (regie.montpellier@artfx.fr). The control room also manages bookings for the school's technical areas.Â
You are personally responsible for the equipment you borrow, which will be replaced at your own cost in the event of loss or damage. Any delay or damage to equipment will be recorded in the school accounts, leading to sanctions or restrictions on borrowing.
If a course requires specific equipment, it is the responsibility of each student to make the necessary arrangements. The school's cameras are supplied without an SD card for recording, and each student is required to bring their own memory card (16 GB minimum).
In the event of technical problems, the audiovisual control room must be informed immediately before the equipment is returned (lucas.michel@artfx.fr).

Out of class time, a stylus can be borrowed at the reception office if you give your student card.
The student will have to pay for it in case it is lost.
Internet access from the school's workstations must always be considered collectively. Internet access is possible from all computer workstations in the classrooms and is reserved primarily for educational and cultural content and tutorials. Downloading illegal content is of course strictly forbidden on school computers (an automatic detection system is in place).
When logging into a Windows user session for the first time, follow these steps:

You have signed the internal rules. Any breach of these rules is grounds for temporary or permanent exclusion.
> We believe that discussing ethics is important.
This ethic is reflected in all our actions and behavior on a daily basis, and it is therefore through a collective and individual commitment that this charter upholds our values.
> We deem necessary to establish rules for living together
As a community, we strive to create a positive and inclusive environment that values diversity, equity and well-being. Our code of ethics is designed to ensure that ARTFX is a peaceful place that is suited to learning.
It describes what each member of our community : students, teachers, administrative staff, commits to abide by in terms of behavior, on campus and in their interactions within our community.
That's why, individually and collectively, we commit to...
Respect all identities
We respect all individuals, whatever their age, gender, ethnic and social background, religion, history and physical or cognitive ability.Â
SEXISM : ZERO-TOLERANCE
RACISM : ZERO-TOLERANCE
We will not tolerate any type of discrimination or hate speech. Our community is prepared to show respect and acceptance towards others.
We believe that every individual, regardless of gender identity, deserves equal treatment and equal opportunities in all areas. We strive to create an environment in which all gender identities feel welcome, respected and supported.
If we incorrectly identify someone's gender, we apologize and simply make every effort to readjust our wording in the following interaction. If we're misgendered, we politely correct the other party and move on together. We're all still learning - in the meantime, let's do all we can to show respect and ensure a peaceful atmosphere.
As a creative school including a vast array of cultures, we need to keep an open mind on culturally sensitive subjects and to respect everyone's personal boundaries: keeping a healthy distance and respecting the privacy of others, in person and on social media. This diversity is a fantastic wealth: we are collectively committed to facilitating the inclusion of international students as we make sure, in their presence, to use a language they can understand, or as we translate for them communications provided in French.
Take a stand against harassmentÂ
Bullying and harassment are unacceptable, and we pledge, individually and collectively, to fight against all forms of verbal intimidation, emotional blackmail, harassment and cyber-harassment, cyber-violence and threats.
The second time is harassment.
If we witness or are victims of harassment,
here’s the one and only rule: speak up and report it.
We are aware that the words we share online can have a powerful impact, and we are committed to exercising great caution in our digital communications, in order to minimize the risk of ambiguous interpretations.
If we become aware of a situation akin to harassment or aggression, we reassure and support the victim so they don’t feel alienated, and we encourage them to report the aggression to charte@artfx.fr and ensure that the situation is discussed and dealt with.Â
If the victim is in danger or experiencing serious psychological trouble, we immediately call 3919 (the toll-free number for victims of harassment and violence) so they can receive professional support.
Preserve a peaceful place to study
Our school has a clear mandate: to provide an environment for studying and developing knowledge and skills.
We are all committed to fostering a serene and optimal pedagogical environment for everyone. In this sense, as individuals, we will do our utmost to protect the integrity of the school by preventing it from being used as a place for proselytizing (or propaganda), whether religious, political or ideological.Â
We will also try to separate, as much as possible, topics or issues relating to our private lives from our school practices, in order to support the school and its community’s priority of focus: to study and make progress.
In addition, it is our responsibility to protect each other from the various illnesses that could affect us. When in doubt about a bad cold, wear a mask. When affected by a contagious disease, stay at home.
Be a responsible communityÂ
We acknowledge our responsibility towards society at large and the environment. We are committed to adopting planet-friendly practices in our artistic work and in our daily school life. We seek to reduce our ecological footprint, to encourage sustainability, and to seriously educate our community about environmental protection.
Turning off my workstation and the classroom lights at the end of the day is my responsibility.
Prioritize honesty, empathy and mutual support
We pledge to be honest in our dealings with others and to show kindness when others are mistaken:
- give constructive feedback/comments
- offer help as soon as possible when another is in doubt or in difficulty
- don't hesitate to ask for help
“To master knowledge is to be able to pass it on”. That's why we value the sharing of knowledge and mutual support within our community.
Respect our limits
We're all passionate and we can spend a lot of time, sometimes an inordinate amount of time… on each and every image or story. Any passion can become overwhelming. We all pledge to pay attention to this and ensure that everyone works within their limits.Â
Taking performance-enhancing drugs to work harder... No way!
We banish any time crunch culture. Listening to oneself and respecting one’s own work pacing also means working well.
And much more we don't do ...
We do not tolerate any form of cyberbullying, smear campaigns, stalking, and we expect our community members to use technology in a way that fosters a positive and respectful environment. We expect everyone to respect the privacy of others.
In person or online,Â
words are actions.Â
We are also committed to only using anonymity when it is absolutely necessary. We are honest about our thoughts and responsible for our actions and our words.
If I want to draw a caricature or create a meme and expose a situation or joke about something,
I have the right to do so, but I must sign my creation.
In addition, we do not tolerate plagiarism, cheating or any other form of dishonesty.Â
We therefore pledge to cite our references for inspiration, and to clearly mention any artificial intelligence aids in our creations.
This charter is an individual and collective commitment
Our charter reflects our commitment to these values and outlines our expectations in terms of behaving on campus, in our community and subsequently in the industry.Â
This charter has been created by the ARTFX community, and discussed and revised with students, teachers, members of the administration and the CSE. We are committed to maintaining this charter, and to incorporating any new subjects that might rally our community.
This charter has been freely inspired from the charter of the HOWEST school in Belgium, with their authorization.Â
