Dear Students and Community of École 24 and ARTFX,

For some of you, this marks the beginning of an adventure in a new environment, with new subjects, a new pedagogical approach, and, most importantly, a new community.
I encourage you to approach this year with an open and positive mindset, using this start of the academic journey to find your own rhythm and balance.
Our community is growing, welcoming new members from all corners of the world. With new classes, new classmates, and a strengthening team of faculty and staff, we have all the assets to make this year a great one!
Let's make the most of our ever-evolving campus, an ideal place to nurture our creativity, launch projects, and strengthen our bonds.

4th and/or 5th year students will be responsible for late openings.
Offices: The reception office is open Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 12am and 1pm to 4.30pm.
The administration offices are open Monday to Friday from 9am to 12am and from 1pm to 5pm.
When you arrive at the school, you will be given a badge.
You are responsible for it throughout your studies and it must never be lent.
For security reasons, access to ARTFX/ school 24 by people from outside the school requires prior authorisation from the management.
A document to fill in is available at the reception if necessary.
Badges are used to ensure the security of the building, equipment, students, and employees. In case of loss of your badge, you are required to report it as soon as possible to the reception. Replacement will be at your own expense (7€).
A cleaning service works every day to ensure you can work in good conditions.
This does not exclude the need to keep your workspace clean and manage your waste. Recycling bins are available in the corridors for your use.
We rely on you to be responsible with recycling; the planet thanks you!
For safety reasons, eating and drinking are not allowed in the classrooms. Designated areas for eating include:
The back of the atrium on the ground floor
The beach area and the atrium on the 1st floor
The mezzanine on the 3rd floor
The rooftop on the 5th floor
In the beach area, you will find a beverage vending machine, a sandwich dispenser, a coffee machine, and a water fountain. The rooftop is also equipped with a coffee machine and a beverage dispenser. Please leave these areas clean and tidy after use.
As part of your training, especially during shoots, you may need to reserve rooms and move furniture. We encourage your creativity, but it is your responsibility to return the rooms to their original state and replace the furniture. For any handling of furniture (chairs, tables, armchairs, etc.), you must obtain permission from the building manager, Fred Frambourt (fred.frambourg@artfx.fr).
A workshop is available for you to create, assemble, and paint your set elements. It is essential to follow the safety instructions there. Cutting tools such as the table saw or angle grinder are not freely accessible. Their use is only permitted in the presence of the manager. Tools are lent upon request, following a protocol that will be explained during your first use. The workshop operates on principles of safety and mutual respect: please always clean and tidy your workspace at the end of your session.
The building is equipped with elevators for access to floors for people with reduced mobility or those who have difficulty using the stairs; authorization is required for this. Do not hesitate to contact the reception on your first day.
In the classrooms, you have a remote control to adjust the heating or air conditioning according to the season. When these systems are in use, the door must remain closed to avoid energy waste. If you are the last person to leave the room, please ensure that the heating, air conditioning, and lights are turned off. Furthermore, consuming beverages or food in the classrooms is prohibited. Workstations must be kept clean, and waste should be disposed of in the recycling bins placed in the corridors.
Thank you for respecting these guidelines to ensure a pleasant working environment for everyone.
Under the Evin law, smoking is strictly prohibited on school premises (car park, green areas and buildings). Smoking areas are provided:
- on the ground floor, between the students residency and our campus
- on the rooftop on floor 5 (staircases C or D)
You are responsible for keeping this area clean: cigarette ends must be disposed of in the ashtrays.
Failure to comply with this rule increases the risk of fire and endangers the whole school. Penalties will be imposed, ranging from exclusion from the school to removal from the smoking area.
In case of a fire alarm, gather outside, on the ground floor, at the main entrance to the building, at the assembly sign in front of the car park. Please gather by class. Please note: 2 fire drills will be held during the year.
At the start of each half-day lesson, the teacher will take attendance to check that all students are present. This will facilitate the work of the emergency services in the event of a problem. During assembly, student attendance must be checked by the teacher, who must follow the fire instructions.
The school buildings are under permanent remote surveillance, even when the alarm is switched off.
For safety reasons, entrance doors and emergency exits must remain closed at all times. Do not block the main entrance door when it is open.
The website ARTFX STUDENT (student.artfx.school) is the software used to deal with the students' school year.
The students will be able to see different informations :
- assignments
- grades
- schedules(and export on Google Calendar)
- tardinesses and absences
- classcharts with photographs
- administrative documents (school report, school certificates, etc.)
- heads of pedagogy contacts
- Notification: students can check the latest relevant records: Tardies, absences, new assignments or projects to complete, etc.
- Coming soon: Reminder emails when students are approaching the deadline for an assignment they have not yet turned in.
You will be able to connect with your ARTFX Gmail account.
Schedule
It varies from week to week and can be changed at any time,so you need to checki t regularly.
It can be accessed via student.artfx.school and
synchronized with your Google calendar. To ensure you have all the latest updates, you need to log in/out at least once a month.
Class attendance
For safety reasons, attendance is taken at the beginning of each lesson. Out of respect for the teacher, the class and yourself, students must be on time (early!). Attendance may also be made independently.
If a student is late or absent, they must inform their teacher and Eglantine Deprost (eglantine.deprost@artfx.fr).
If the student is more than 10 minutes late, they must wait for the break to go to class. In addition, any absence must be justified by a medical certificate (to be submitted within 72 hours of returning to class). It is therefore your responsibility to make arrangements with the lecturer and/or course leader to make up for the missed class(es). Recorded absences may therefore be grounds for refusal of promotion to the next class level.
Delivery of work
Any assigned activity must be delivered to the teacher. Details of delivery are given in the workshop brief (on the website student.artfx.school). Important: you must hand in your work, as it is better to hand in imperfect work than nothing at all. Submissions via email will not be accepted. All work must be delivered to a shared Drive in a dedicated folder set up by the IT department and notified if necessary in the application student.artfx.school.

💡 Recommendations: "SECURITY RULES - CREATING PASSWORDS"
What is a Passphrase?
A passphrase is a sequence of multiple words combined, longer than a traditional password, but paradoxically easier to remember and significantly more secure.
✅ Example of a good passphrase: Cinema3DIsMyPassion!2025
❌ Example of a bad password: Password123!
Why Prefer Passphrases?
🔒 Enhanced security: 20+ characters vs. 8-12 for a classic password
🧠 Easier memorization: Based on your personal interests
🛡️ Maximum resistance: Nearly impossible to guess or crack with automated attacks
Criteria for Creating a Good Passphrase
Length: Minimum 15-20 characters
Composition: Personal words + numbers + special characters
Originality: Avoid famous quotes or known phrases
Personalization: Link it to your passion, projects, or journey
Examples of Effective Passphrases
My3DBlenderProject2025!
AnimationAndCoffee=StudentLife
ARTFX&MyDreams*BecomingAnArtist
Texturing4K_MyFutureJob
Rigging&Animation>EverythingElse!
Practical Application
Campus Windows sessions
ARTFX/School24 Gmail account
Password resets
Personal accounts (highly recommended)
Additional Tips
Uniqueness: Each account should have its own passphrase
Confidentiality: Never share your passphrases
Evolution: Renew them periodically
Backup: Write them down in a safe place while memorizing or use a secure password manager like Bitwarden (free for students), which encrypts and syncs your passphrases across
Computer hardware
It is strictly forbidden to move computer equipment in the rooms (computers, tablets, mice, etc.), even temporarily. No software may be installed or hardware modified. You are responsible for keeping your keyboards and computer screens clean (cleaning cloths and products are available in each room).
Stylus
Stylus are lent to preparatory students and first-year students. Headphones can be borrowed by all students.
At the beginning of the year, a material manager will be appointed for each class. When there is a need for a stylus or headphones, the manager will collect the cards from the concerned students and give them to Églantine at reception, who will provide the equipment in exchange.
At the end of the class, the material manager will return all the styluses to Églantine, who will then return the student cards (unless there are missing stylus). You are not allowed to leave the school with a stylus.
Outside of class hours, a stylus can be borrowed upon request at reception from Églantine Deprost (in exchange for your student card).
Stylus are lent for the entire year to students in years 2, 3, 4, and 5 who do not already have one. Églantine will visit during your first class with the forms to be completed; the styluses must be returned at the end of the year. In case of loss, the styluses will be billed.
Headphones
For headphones, you will need to go to the coordinators' office. They will provide you with headphones in exchange for your student card.
However, we strongly recommend acquiring a personal headset with a USB connector for optimal comfort and permanent availability during your projects.

Audiovisual equipment (cameras, tripods, cameras, reflectors, sound recording and mixing equipment, lighting, etc.) is available for educational projects.
You can borrow it from Antoine Boyer Chammard and Lucia Chapotel, either by going to see him directly in the control room, or by e-mail at regie-lille@artfx.fr.
A locker system will be set up for equipment deposits.
You must arrange to return all borrowed items at once. You must absolutely respect your engagements in terms of timing, start and return dates for any equipment.
Here are the new rules of the game concerning audiovisual management. You'll notice that you won't lose any points if you follow these 2 basic rules:
1. Return the equipment in good condition
2. Warn us when something unexpected happens
You are personally responsible for the equipment you borrow, which will be replaced at your own cost in the event of loss or damage.
Any delay or damage to equipment will be recorded in the school accounts, leading to sanctions or restrictions on borrowing.
If a course requires specific equipment, it is the responsibility of each student to make the necessary arrangements.
The school's cameras are supplied without an SD card for recording, and each student is required to bring their own memory card (16 GB minimum).
In the event of technical problems, the audiovisual control room must be informed immediately before the equipment is returned.
After use, premises (film sets, video editing rooms, sound studios, etc.) must be cleaned and have to be available just as you would have found them.
You must plan a cleaning session after each use. For film sets, a vacuum cleaner will be available in case of necessity.
The big step ladder must be used with extreme care.
The grid mustn't be lifted up or put down without a technical member of the ARTFX team present. It is essential to keep the emergency exits clear to ensure everyone's safety.
No material, decoration or technical equipment should obstruct the exits to allow rapid evacuation in the event of an emergency.
to book : regie-lille@artfx.fr
Opening times will be announced at the beginning of the school year and posted on the door of the audiovisual office.
You will be issued a card. It stands as a student card, and entitles you to discounts. You will also be asked to pay for the loan of an audio headset and stylus.
It is strictly prohibited to have personal parcels delivered to the school. For your personal deliveries, there is an Amazon locker on the ground floor of the Plaine Images car park.
The school offers activities initiated by the students themselves or the teaching staff. These are open to all and free of charge:

You have signed the internal rules. Any breach of these rules is grounds for temporary or permanent exclusion.
> We believe that discussing ethics is important.
This ethic is reflected in all our actions and behavior on a daily basis, and it is therefore through a collective and individual commitment that this charter upholds our values.
> We deem necessary to establish rules for living together
As a community, we strive to create a positive and inclusive environment that values diversity, equity and well-being. Our code of ethics is designed to ensure that ARTFX is a peaceful place that is suited to learning. It describes what each member of our community : students, teachers, administrative staff, commits to abide by in terms of behavior, on campus and in their interactions within our community.
That's why, individually and collectively, we commit to:
- Respect all identities :
We respect all individuals, whatever their age, gender, ethnic and social background, religion, history and physical or cognitive ability.
SEXISME : ZERO-TOLERANCE
RACISME : ZERO-TOLERANCE
We will not tolerate any type of discrimination or hate speech. Our community is prepared to show respect and acceptance towards others.
We believe that every individual, regardless of gender identity, deserves equal treatment and equal opportunities in all areas. We strive to create an environment in which all gender identities feel welcome, respected and supported.
If we incorrectly identify someone's gender, we apologize and simply make every effort to readjust our wording in the following interaction. If we're misgendered, we politely correct the other party and move on together. We're all still learning- in the meantime, let's do all we can to show respect and ensure a peaceful atmosphere.
As a creative school including a vast array of cultures, we need to keep an open mind on culturally sensitive subjects and to respect everyone's personal boundaries: keeping a healthy distance and respecting the privacy of others, in person and on social media. This diversity is a fantastic wealth: we are collectively committed to facilitating the inclusion of international students as we make sure, in their presence, to use a language they can understand, or as we translate for them communications provided in French.
- Take a stand against harassment
Bullying and harassment are unacceptable, and we pledge, individually and collectively, to fight against all forms of verbal intimidation, emotional blackmail, harassment and cyber-harassment, cyber-violence and threats.
The second time is harassment. If we witness or are victims of harassment, here’s the one and only rule: speak up and report it.
We are aware that the words we share online can have a powerful impact, and we are committed to exercising great caution in our digital communications, in order to minimize the risk of ambiguous interpretations.
If we become aware of a situation akin to harassment or aggression, we reassure and support the victim so they don’t feel alienated, and we encourage them to report the aggression to charte@artfx.fr and ensure that the situation is discussed and dealt with.
If the victim is in danger or experiencing serious psychological trouble, we immediately call 3919 (the toll-free number for victims of harassment and violence) so they can receive professional support.
- Preserve a peaceful place to study
Our school has a clear mandate: to provide an environment for studying and developing knowledge and skills.
We are all committed to fostering a serene and optimal pedagogical environment for everyone. In this sense, as individuals, we will do our utmost to protect the integrity of 33the school by preventing it from being used as a place for proselytizing (or propaganda), whether religious, political or ideological.
We will also try to separate, as much as possible, topics or issues relating to our private lives from our school practices, in order to support the school and its community’s priority of focus: to study and make progress.
In addition, it is our responsibility to protect each other from the various illnesses that could affect us. When in doubt about a bad cold, wear a mask. When affected by a contagious disease, stay at home.
-Be a responsible community
We acknowledge our responsibility towards society at large and the environment. We are committed to adopting planet-friendly practices in our artistic work and in our daily school life. We seek to reduce our ecological footprint, to encourage sustainability, and to seriously educate our community about environmental protection.
Turning off my workstation and the classroom lights at the end of the day is myresponsibility.
- Prioritize honesty, empathy and mutual support
We pledge to be honest in our dealings with others and to show kindness when others are mistaken:
- give constructive feedback/comments
- offer help as soon as possible when another is in doubt or in difficulty
- don't hesitate to ask for help
“To master knowledge is to be able to pass it on”. That's why we value the sharing of knowledge and mutual support within our community.
- Respect our limits
We're all passionate and we can spend a lot of time, sometimes an inordinate amount of time… on each and every image or story. Any passion can become overwhelming. We all pledge to pay attention to this and ensure that everyone works within their limits.
Taking performance-enhancing drugs to work harder . Noway! We banish any time crunch culture. Listening to oneself and respecting one’s own work pacing also means working well.
- And much more we don't do...
We do not tolerate any form of cyberbullying, smear campaigns, stalking, and we expect our community members to use technology in a way that fosters a positive and respectful environment. We expect everyone to respect the privacy of others.
In person or online, words are actions.
We are also committed to only using anonymity when it is absolutely necessary. We are honest about our thoughts and responsible for our actions and our words.
If I want to draw a caricature or create a meme and expose a situation or joke about something, I have the right to do so, but I must sign mycreation.
In addition, we do not tolerate plagiarism, cheating or any other form of dishonesty. We therefore pledge to cite our references for inspiration, and to clearly mention any artificial intelligence aids in our creations.
This charter is an individual and collective commitment
Our charter reflects our commitment to these values and outlines our expectations in terms of behaving on campus, in our community and subsequently in the industry.
This charter has been created by the ARTFX community, and discussed and revised with students, teachers, members of the administration and the CSE. We are committed to maintaining this charter, and to incorporating any new subjects that might rally our community.
This charter has been freely inspired from the charter of the HOWEST school in Belgium, with their authorization.
