Miha Rogina （ミーハ・ロギーナ） / サクソフォン
スロヴェニア国立音楽大学を卒業後、ヴェルサイユ音楽院・研究課程を一等賞で卒業。06 年パリ国立高等音楽院を首席で卒業し、同音楽院第 3 課程にてさらなる研鑽をつむ。これまでに、マルコフィオリンド (イタリア)、バイロイト (ドイツ)を含む、10 以上の国際コンクールで 1 位入賞、ロンデックス国際コンクール(バンコク)、アドルフサックス国際サックスコンクール(ディナン)で入賞を果たすなど、ヨーロッパ音楽界において注目を浴びる気鋭のサクソフォン奏者。アメリカ、日本、中国、ヨーロッパ全土の各地でリサイタル、室内楽演奏会、音楽祭等に出演。これまでに、スロヴェニア・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団、ウィーン交響楽団、ホッフェール管弦楽団、マリボロ管弦楽団と共演。パリ・セルマー社、ソシエテ・ジェネラル、スロヴェニア文化庁、メイエー財団を含む数々の団体から奨学金を授与される。スロヴェニア国立音楽大学サクソフォン科教授、シベリウス音楽院客員教授として指導にあたる傍ら、パリ国立高等音楽院の入学試験や、数々の国際サックスコンクールで審査員を務め、ヨーロッパやアジア各地の音楽大学にてマスタークラスを行うなど教育活動にも余念がない。
Miha Rogina, has been described as ‘The best saxophonist of today’s younger generation’ by The Sax Magazine. He is accredited for his innovative interpretations of musical works. He has won 1st prize at 10 international competitions. He has worked with today’s leading musicians including P. Boulez and F. Luisi and appeared at major international concert stages throughout Europe, Asia, the USA and Africa. He first studied at the Ljubljana Music Academy with M. Drevenšek, and continued his studies in France with Jean-Yves Fourmeau, V. David and at the prestigious CNSM de Paris with C. Delangle, where he graduated with highest honours. He also studied at the renowned Eastman School of Music in the USA. In 2015 he graduated orchestral conducting from the Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Vienna. In 2019 he also graduated choral conducting from the same university. As soloist he performed with a number of orchestras, including the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, symphonic orchestras such as Hoffer, Bruges, Saint Maur and Paris Laureates and Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as the RTV Slovenia Symphonic Orchestra. He is an active chamber musician. He works with concert pianist Sae Lee with whom they perform worldwide as the Duo Kalypso. Miha Rogina is professor at the Music Academy of the Ljubljana University and has been a guest lecturer at Senzoku Gakuen University in Tokyo. As a conductor he has led orchestras in Slovenia, Check Republic and Slovakia.

大阪出身。大阪音楽大学付属音楽学園、帝塚山学院小学部から高等部を経て桐朋学園大学に入学。同大学を中退後、パリ国立高等音楽院に留学。07 年同音楽院ピアノ科を、08 年室内楽科を 1 等賞にて卒業。幼少より全日本学生音楽コンクール大阪大会、高校の部第 1位の他、数々のコンクールで優秀な成績を修める。在学中からパリ国立高等音楽院教授らと中国文化年記念作品の初演や、カザフスタン政府・ユネスコの招待を受けカザフスタンで開催された国際反核会議でのコンサート、シャンゼリゼ劇場でラムルー管弦楽団との共演、 Enghien ピアノフェスティバル（フランス）、秋の音楽祭（クロアチア）への出演等、数々の舞台に登場。パドヴァ国際コンクール、ソフィア国際ピアノコンクール・アルベール・ルーセルにて第 1 位を受賞。これまでに NHK-FM 名曲リサイタル、NHK-BS クラシック倶楽部出演。09-11 年度、財団法人ロームミュージックファンデーション奨学生。。2021年スロヴェニア・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団とメシアンのトゥーランガリラ交響曲にてソリストとして共演。現在スロヴェニア国立音楽大学にて室内楽科、ピアノ科准教授として後進の指導に当たる傍ら、ヨーロッパ、日本を中心にピアノソロ、アンサンブル奏者として活躍中。
Sae Lee is one of the most sought-after collaborative pianists of her generation. Her ability to interact with other musicians with exceptional instrumental and artistic level captivate audiences. She appeared at important festivals and events such as Piano festival Enghien (France), International conference Nevada-Semipalatinsk organized by Kazakhstan government & UNESCO and Japanese National TV program Classic-club. As soloist she performed with a number of orchestras worldwide including the Sofia Philharmonic, Kansai philharmonic and Slovenian philharmonic orchestra. She is also official piano collaborator at various international competition for saxophone and violin. Her collaboration is not only with musicians but also with well-known ballet dancers like Aurélie Dupont (director of Paris opera ballet) and Kevin O’Hare (director of The Royale Ballet). After studying at the University of Music TOHO-Gakuen, Continued her studies of Piano and Chamber music at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris with Michel Beroff and Eric Le Sage. In June 2007 and 2008 she graduated with the highest marks. She was a winner at many national and international competitions, including the International Competition of Citta di Padova, the International Piano Competition of Albert Roussel. Sae is currently assistant professor for Piano and chamber music at the Academy of Music at University of Ljubljana.
デュオ・カリプソ「ダンス！ダンス！ダンス！」に寄せて：舞踊の復権と未知の世界への誘い

人間は踊り続けてきた。有史以前からダンスとは人間が自らの感情を表現する方法だった。嬉しいとき悲しい時、新しい命の誕生と喪失の時。ダンスとは音楽に合わせて人が踊るように見えるが、実は人間はダンスを利用して自らの感情を自分の外側に表し吐き出し、他者とシェアし社会的絆を強めることをしてきた。７０年代のディスコ。９０年代のジュリアナ東京。いやその前からどの村にも盆踊りがあった。
人間の切実で素朴で哀切な感情を言葉でなく表現する手段として生まれた舞踊は、ルネッサンス絵画の巨匠ブリューゲルが描く大らかな村の踊りによく表されている。そこでの主人公は踊り惚ける村人であり、舞曲を奏でる楽器といえば簡素なバグパイプと太鼓。それでも村人は実に楽しそうに自由に踊っている。てんでパラバラな身振りをしていることから推測すると、踊りの様式があるのかどうかも疑わしく思える。おそらくは音に誘起される情動に任せて自由気ままに足を上げ、手を振り翳し、お互いの手を握って腰を振っていたのではないだろうか。
楽器はバロック期にはいり急速に進化を遂げる。１７世紀には西洋音楽理論が今日のような機能和声、長調、短調といったより組織化されたものになっていった。それを音に表すための鍵盤楽器、管楽器、弦楽器が発明され、音楽はより高度な様相を呈するようになってきた。使われる楽器は決して安価なものではなく村人が手に入れることが出来ない。パイプオルガンは教会に、高価な鍵盤楽器は王侯貴族の城に置かれることになる。音楽はやがて神への祈りの補助装置、王侯貴族の慰みものといった色合いを強めていった。音楽は宮廷独占物となり土俗性を失い、並行してダンスは高度に芸術化していった。三拍子のメヌエットはルイ１４世が好んで踊り、上流階級に人気が高かった。バッハの組曲とは舞曲を集めたものだが、それぞれの舞曲は実際に踊れたのかどうか疑わしく、高度に様式化された踊れないダンス音楽と考えられている。
音楽の洗練、舞踏の芸術化は２０世紀冒頭まで過激に進行する。宮廷内の余興としてのダンスが場を劇場に移すとバレエとして一気に華が開く。今日でも人気が高い「ジゼル」「くるみ割り人形」「白鳥の湖」「春の祭典」等、いずれもが高度に洗練されたバレエ音楽にあわせて職業ダンサーが芸術を舞台上で繰り広げるものであり、粗野な村人が土俗的な響きの中で官能の喜びを体で表現する世界とは隔絶している。
このようにダンスとダンス音楽の歴史を粗く眺める角度からは、今日のプログラムはどのように見えるのだろうか。ストラヴィンスキー「春の祭典」は舞踏の芸術化と音楽の洗練を象徴するものだが、ディアギレフ率いるバレエ・ルスのニジンスキーの振付は再現されたものを見ると実に土俗性に満ちている。ストラヴィンスキーの音楽も音だけで聴くと洗練されたパリの音楽と聴こえるが、パレエとして意図したものはロシアの土の匂い（を高度に洗練されたコンテクストの中で）解放するものだ。ロシア出身のストラヴィンスキーの音楽とディアギレフのバレエはパリジャンたちに新規であると同時に土俗性の魅力を見せつけた。
＜異国趣味＞
プラネル (1908 –1994)、フランセ（1912-1997）、 ピアソラ（1921-1992）はほぼ同じ頃に活躍した作曲家である。土俗性はここでは異国性エキゾシズムと形を変える。エキゾシズムは異国性を愛でる異国趣味でもあり、フランス文化がこれに耽溺する歴史は音楽、舞踏を問わず実に長い。プラネル作品は近くイタリアに趣を求め、ジャズの香りをアメリカから運び、メヌエットはおしゃれな衣を纏いもはや王宮の音楽ではない。異国趣味はフランセ作品ではマンボ、サンバなど土着のリズムを取り入れて誰の目にも鮮やかに見える。ピアソラに至っては土俗性はローカリティー局地性に醸成し、自国アルゼンチンの土着音楽であるタンゴがプライドを持って表舞台で奏でられる。
＜土俗舞踊の復権＞
バルトーク「ルーマニア民俗舞曲」は当時ハンガリーの一部であったトランシルヴァニア地方の民謡をもとにしたもの。バルトークは民謡を採譜して短いピアノ曲に仕上げ1915年に出版。原曲の民謡の旋律に現代的なテイストを加えているものの、作品そのものは著しく土の匂いのするものだ。今日でもこのバルトーク作品を使ってルーマニア人、そのほかの国の人たちがオリジナルの民舞の振付で踊ることができることは興味深い。
＜舞踏への誘い＞
バルトークが生まれてから約100年後の1984年にオルブライトの「ソナタ」がアメリカ・ミシガン州で作曲される。オルブライトは第二次世界大戦後のアメリカで音楽のエリート教育を受け、メシアンに師事するためにパリ渡る。サクソフォンとピアノのために書かれた「ソナタ」終曲はダンス音楽。哀歌Lamentとスケルツォ "Will o' the wisp”（鬼火の意）でうつろいやすいイメージを追いかけたあと、終曲は言葉のないレチタティーヴォ朗唱で始まる。”さあ始めるが準備はいかがか”、と半ば恐喝じみた問いかけをした後に堰を切ったように始まるマッド・ダンス。マッド・ダンス（狂気の舞踏）はまさに題名通り狂気に近い官能へと私たちを誘う。この音楽と共に踊り始めればもはや人は休むことも出来ず、いつしか永遠の快楽に酔いしれる。人智を超えたテンプテーション魅惑をこの舞踏音楽が運んでくる。ブリューゲルの村人が酔いしれる。
＜未知の官能性＞
ヴァンサン・ダヴィッド「 トゥピーの目覚め」。表題にあるLa Toupieとはこま独楽の意。のっけから独楽は回り始める。ややギクシャクとした動きののちに独楽はフル回転で地を這い壁を伝い天井に走り宙を舞う。ダンスとは人間が音楽に合わせて踊るという行為であるが、ダヴィッドの意図はそれをはるかに超えて、音楽が人間の精神の解放を誘っている。独楽の回転のように自由に踊りもっと精神を解放しなさいと言う。
デュオ・カリプソのお二人の選曲には舌を巻く。ヨーロッパで活躍するお二人が吸い込んだ空気が大きく膨らみ、気球がゆっくりと空を自在に動き回るさまが見えてくる。自在にサクソフォンをピアノを操る熱気球の操縦士たち。
Duo Calypso "Dance! Dance! Dance!" : Restoration of Dance and Invitation to the World of the Unknown

Humans have been dancing. Since prehistoric times, dance has been a way for humans to express their emotions, in times of happiness and sadness, in times of birth and loss of new life. Dance appears to be people dancing to music, but in fact, humans have used dance to express their emotions outwardly and to share them with others, strengthening social bonds. Disco in the 70’s and Juliana Tokyo in the 90's. No, even before that, every village had its own Bon Odori dance.
The dance, which was born as a means of expressing the earnest, simple, and pathetic emotions of human beings without words, is well represented in the village dances depicted by Bruegel, the master of Renaissance painting. The main characters are villagers who are in love with dancing, and the instruments used to play the dance music are simple bagpipes and drums. Even so, the villagers dance freely and happily. The fact that the dancers' gestures are so disparate makes it doubtful that there is any dance style. Perhaps they were free to raise their legs, hold out their hands, hold each other's hands, and shake their hips at their wills, letting the emotions take control of them.
Music instruments evolved rapidly during the Baroque period, and by the early 17th century, Western music theory had become more organized, with functional harmony, major and minor keys, and so on, as we know them today. Keyboard, wind, and string instruments were invented to play these sounds, and music took on a more sophisticated aspect. The instruments used were not inexpensive and were not easily available to the villagers. Instruments evolved rapidly during the Baroque period, and by the 17th century, Western music theory had become more organized, with functional harmony, major and minor keys, and so on, as we know them today. Keyboard, wind, and string instruments were invented to represent these sounds, and music took on a more sophisticated aspect. The instruments used were not inexpensive and were not available to the villagers. Pipe organs were placed in churches, and expensive keyboard instruments were placed in the castles of royalty and nobility. Music soon became more and more an adjunct to prayer to the gods and a comfort to the royalty and aristocracy. Music became a court monopoly and lost its earthiness, while dance became highly artistic. The triplet Minuet was a favorite dance style of Louis XIV and popular among the upper classes. Bach's suite is a collection of dance music, but it is doubtful whether each of the dances was actually danced, and is considered highly stylized, non-danceable dance music.
The refinement of music and the artification of dance progressed radically until the beginning of the 20th century. Dancing as an entertainment in the court moved to the theater, where it quickly flourished as ballet. "Giselle", "The Nutcracker”, "Swan Lake” and "The Rite of Spring" all of which are still popular today, are highly refined ballets with highly skilled dancers performing their art on stage to sophisticated ballet music, a world apart from that of crude villagers expressing their sensual pleasure in the earthly sounds of their bodies.
From this macroscopic view of the history of dance and dance music, what does today's program look like? Stravinsky's "The Rite of Spring" symbolizes the artification of dance and the refinement of music, while Nijinsky's choreography of Ballets Russes led by Diaghilev is indeed full of earthiness in its reproduction. Stravinsky's music sounds like refined Parisian music when heard alone, but what is intended as a ballet is a manifestation of Russian earthiness (in a highly refined context). The music of Russian-born Stravinsky and Diaghilev's ballet presented Parisians with an innovative and at the same time earthy charm.
<Exoticism>
Planel (1908 -1994), Francaix (1912-1997), and Piazzolla (1921-1992) were composers active at about the same time. Earthliness is here transformed into exoticism. Exoticism is also a strong love for exotic cultures, and French culture has a long history of indulging in it, whether in music or dance or others. Planel's works seek inspiration from nearby Italy, the scent of jazz is brought in from America, and the Menuet is no longer the music of the royal court, dressed in modern garb. The exoticism of Francaix's work is evident in the mambo, samba, and other indigenous rhythms. Piazzolla's work has now become matured local music and tango, the indigenous music of his native Argentina, is performed on the stage with pride.
<Restoration of Folk Dances>
Bartók's "Romanian Folk Dances" is based on folk songs from Transylvania, which was then part of Hungary. Bartók wrote a short piano piece based on the folk song and published it in 1915. Although he added a modern touch to the harmony of the original folk song, the work itself has a markedly earthy flavor. It is interesting to note that even today, this Bartók piece can be danced to the original folk dance choreography by Romanians and people from other countries.
<An Invitation to Dance>
Albright's "Sonata" was composed in Michigan, USA, in 1984, about 100 years after Bartók was born. Albright received an elite musical education in post-World War II America, and then moved to Paris to study with Messiaen. The final piece of the "Sonata," written for saxophone and piano, is a dance music. After chasing a fickle image with the lament and the scherzo "Will o' the wisp" (meaning "devil's fire"), the finale begins with a wordless recitative. After a half-intimidating question, "Are you ready to begin?", the Mad Dance begins as if a dam has been broken. As the title suggests, "Mad Dance" invites us to a sensuality close to madness. Once we start dancing with this music, we can no longer stop, and we are intoxicated with eternal pleasure. This dance music brings us a temptation that transcends human wisdom. Here the villagers of Bruegel are intoxicated.
<Unknown sensuality>
La Toupie” in "L‛Éveil de la Toupie” by Vincent David means a spinning top. From the very beginning, the spinning top begins to spin. After a few jerky movements, the top spins at full speed, crawling on the ground, running along the walls, and soaring through the air to the ceiling. Dance is the act of a human being dancing to music, but David's intention goes far beyond that, as the music invites the liberation of the human spirit. He tells us to dance freely like the spinning of a spinning top and free our spirit even more.
The music selections by the two members of Duo Kalypso are astonishing. The air that these two Europe-resident musicians inhale expands them and you can see a balloon slowly and freely moving in the sky. Pilots of hot air balloons freely manipulate saxophones and pianos.
