We hope you enjoy the last week of JRPM 2022. To kick things off get outside and get creative by making some sidewalk chalk designs. Draw an area for you to play hopscotch or write a friendly message on the sidewalk for people who walk by to read. Whatever you decide just remember to stay creative and have fun.
Throughout each week of JRPM we have provided some activity ideas for you to follow. Now it's your turn to come up with your own fun activity! Anything goes today, all we ask is that you stay safe, be creative and have fun!
If you really struggle to pick an activity, try building a fort or blowing bubbles.
Go camping in the backyard; set up a tent with some sleeping bags and see what it’s like to sleep outdoors under the stars! Make a campfire if it’s safe for you to do so and try roasting marshmallows, maybe you decide to tell some spooky campfire stories as well.
Find a local event happening near you to participate in (online events count too). You can do so by visiting the website of your local city, town or municipality, etc. and see what they may have going on.
If there is nothing going on in your area, try putting together your own event, festival or activity that you can celebrate with your friends and family
Make an obstacle course! Whether you decide to build it inside or outside there are still plenty of unique ways for you to have a great time. Search around your house for things you could use or maybe you decide to buy some materials from the store! Once you're done, invite some of your friends or family to come try it out with you!
Go on an outdoor scavenger hunt with you friends and family and see what you can find! Make your own list of things to look for or try and find a list online to copy off!
If you enjoyed making an obstacle course on Sunday, try building a fort and see which one is more fun! It can be a simple blanket fort in your bedroom or you can go all out and build one throughout your house… the options are endless and it’s up to you to make the most of the experience.
Participate in Walk & Roll Alberta, a walk-a-thon event with organizations helping to support Albertans impacted by disabilities, enabling their members to participate in the community. The event includes fun themes and prizes so make sure to check it out here!
For the final day of JRPM 2022 we encourage you to get outside and go for a Walk! Grab some friends, family or take a stroll by yourself. The decision is totally up to you, either way we would love for you to share your walking experience with us.
We hope you enjoy the last day of JRPM 2022 and had a wonderful month of June. As always, we look forward to celebrating JRPM next year and hope that you do too!
