Plantar Fasciitis Specialist
Heel pain is a common problem that can affect people of all ages. It can be caused by a variety of factors, including:
Plantar fasciitis: This is the most common cause of heel pain. It is caused by inflammation of the plantar fascia, a band of tissue that runs along the bottom of the foot from the heel to the toes.
Achilles tendinitis: This is inflammation of the Achilles tendon, which connects the calf muscle to the heel bone.
Heel spurs: These are bony growths that can form on the heel bone. They are not usually painful, but they can sometimes cause pain.
Tarsal tunnel syndrome: This is a nerve disorder that can cause pain in the heel and arch of the foot.
Stress fractures: These are small cracks in the bones of the foot. They can be caused by repetitive stress, such as running or jumping.
Orthotics support the arch tendon keeping it from pulling away from the bone.
Orthotics support the arch tendon keeping it from pulling away from the bone.
When a foot bone is exposed to constant stress, calcium deposits build up on the bottom of the heel bone.
Repeated damage can cause these deposits to pile up on each other, causing a spur-shaped deformity, called a calcaneal (or heel) spur.
Wear Custom Orthotics to support the Fascia tendon from stretching.
Heel raise to lessen tension from muscle tightening.
Your calf muscles are attached to your arch. Use your calf muscles when walking.
Regain a spring in your step to avoid your arch collapsing and fascia tendon stretching that creates heel pain.
Achilles tendons do not carry robust blood supplies. As such, they do not heal well on their own.
Control foot movements with Custom Orthotics.
Tendons take a long time to heal. You must stop yanking on them to heal > Orthotics.
