ARLINGTON SCIENCE

The vision of the Arlington Public School Science Department is to give students a science curriculum which enables them to explore and discover the world around them in order for them to have a deeper understanding of the world they live in.  We aim to do this through practical and exciting experiences, which encourage curiosity and foster learning. We value and are committed to developing science skills and exposing our students to real science practices through hands on, inquiry-based activities and laboratory courses

The Arlington Public Schools science curriculum provides students with the foundations to understand the inner workings of the natural world using scientific processes and concepts from all fields disciplines including earth science, biology, chemistry, and physics.   This multidisciplinary approach, based around the Massachusetts State Standards and the Next Generation Science Standards, promotes curiosity and builds content knowledge along with core science practices to develop scientifically literate citizens.
