We demonstrated the application of Raman interferometry to simultaneously obtain temporally and spectrally resolved information on dynamics of autoionizing states in the Argon atom. This is achieved by separating the probing and detection steps -- thus circumventing the uncertainity principle!

We published our work on quantum control of polaritons. We show that it is possible to to use light to control the decay lifetimes of autoionizing states. In other words, we can stabilize an atom using lasers!
