The John G. Hildebrand Summer Research Scholarship: is targeted at undergraduates who wish to perform summer research in neuroscience. Preference will be given to students working with faculty in the Department of Neuroscience, and to students who intend to attend graduate school. Recipients of this award must commit to a program of full-time summer research (12 weeks). Two applicants will be selected to receive this $5000 award.
The Leslie P. Tolbert Research Scholarship: is targeted at undergraduates who wish to perform research at any time in the academic year into the biological basis of brain function. This award may be used for conference travel as well to support research in neuroscience laboratories. One applicant will be selected to receive this $2000 award.
Recipients of either award must be actively enrolled in the NSCS program or closely related majors, and must be in good academic standing. Awardees from previous years remain eligible, but must repeat the application process.
