Parents who attend the meet may sign their child out after the event. We have two teachers riding the buses and have seven others monitoring and helping our students.
Friday, January 21st
● 2nd, 3rd Storytelling, 4th Oral Reading and all 5th grade events will be excused from school to participate at Argyle Intermediate School for the meet at 800 Eagle Drive, Argyle ○ Attendance will be counted for participants in the UIL meet. Hilltop only: you may return to school after the meet, but do not have to, the meet is your attendance for the day. There is no bus service for the meet on Friday. Parents must drop off and pick up.
○ Storytelling and Oral Reading students need to be dropped off Friday, Jan. 21 at 9:30am at Argyle Intermediate. We will have a sign-in table at the front and will help students find the correct room.
○ For 5th grade and oral events on Friday, parents are dropping off and picking up for each event so we are asking parents NOT to wait inside with their child as we have limited space. ○ Storytelling and Oral Reading events start at 10am and will take around an hour. You can plan to pick them up at 11am or we will have them call if they are finished sooner. We will have a waiting room for all Argyle students. Students will be signed out when leaving the meet. ○ Students participating in oral events should not wear school shirts, but dress nicely. ○ Students may bring a snack and water bottle if they will be there a while.
