Today we worked on our financial literacy by solving the break out puzzle "Mayhem at Trixie's Toy Store". Click below and check your financial literacy!
Students also learned about inductive reasoning by playing Clue.
The big idea about INDUCTIVE Reasoning is…
Inductive reasoning is a method of logical thinking that combines observations with experiential information to reach a conclusion. When you can look at a specific set of data and form general conclusions based on existing knowledge from past experiences, you are using inductive reasoning.
Gather Clues, analyze them and then make a conclusion!

This week students compared problem solving to creative thinking. We then explored the steps of Creative Thinking. You can click on the link below to read about the process. Creative Thinking is the cornerstone to divergent thinking, critical thinking, and problem solving. We introduced these terms: fluency, elaboration, flexibility, and originality to describe the steps.
Students then worked as a collaborative group to come up with an original product that solved a problem. They are very creative! We will share finished product next week!
They also worked hard to apply critical thinking skills to solve breakout puzzle below. The breakout puzzle is about a Zoom classroom meeting which solved the problem of students still attending school during Covid. A lot of thinking going today.
