What's a Quipstick?

By Julianna Reidell

Quipstick Conspiracy came to life in Taylor Hall Room 208, the notorious hideout of several cringey English Majors known for their sneers, skull tattoos, cutting wit, and tendency to make obscure literary references. It’s rumored that the idea for a humor section of Quiddity came to the founders in the form of a dreamlike vision on a dark and stormy night on the shores of Lake Geneva, where they were staying in a villa owned by the notorious scoundrel poet Daniel Pieczkolon. Promptly ignoring the advice of their wise faculty mentor, these daring innovators rustled up three humor pieces, grafted a new page onto the body of the Quiddity website, designed a neat lipstick logo, and held their breath as the site began to twitch anew with faint signs of life. It takes many mad geniuses to keep a publication alive, however — and that, dear reader, is where YOU come in. Send us your most sarcastic satire, your wittiest parodies, your lists and quizzes and editorials — just be sure they make us laugh.
