Opacarophile

Teal blends with tangerine

Streaks weave between the two, 

And without attention, the hues change.

Regret follows the one whose eyes strayed, 

For they will never know 

What could have been.

The story remains the same,

While vibrant in unison,

The two colors lived to make art,

But were still born to die.

The two colors made

To withstand light,

Built on the foundation

Of fading into the distance,

When it was time 

To face the dark. 

Just like 

You & I.
