Maybe I’ll graft our hands

Together. The gaps between

Our fingers will be sealed

With stitches. I’ll sew it good,

Just like you showed me.

Because you know me,

I’ll pick at the edges and pull

On the strings. Some glue

Will do for your fingertips,

Resting gently on the skin.

Just past my chapped

Knuckles. You remember

Them? I’m sorry I stole

From you, but now that

We’ve talked I hope you

Understand. You won’t be

Needing your arm in that

Coffin anyways. This way

We’re inseparable, just

Like you always said.
