Guillotine

By Michaela Coll

Artwork by Leigh Ferrier

I took myself down to the Guillotine

laid my neck bare for the freemasonry

push me down and stretch my neck

over the cold wood of an ancient crest

Brothers in Arms, Brothers in Power

chop this woman’s neck off for the coward

Off with her head!

axe me off, axe me out

hide his mistakes, throw away your doubts

me and my Sisters will pay for His sins

that’s the way it’s always been
