National Park + Trekking and Canoes

This is an 8 hours tour immersed in the nature of the Tierra del Fuego National Park. The journey proposes a 4hs trekking and a relaxed, easy activity in inflatable canoes, in an area where sea, rivers, snow capped mountains and forests create a unique place in the southernmost patagonian area. With our specialized guides, you can learn much about this unique paradise in the world in one day!

The almost 8 km of medium-difficulty hike does not present a big challenge to passengers used to regular exercise and have proper clothing, but hiking or trekking previous experience is required. The 4hs trekking begins at Ensenada Bay, one of the spots with the most incredible views and landscape within the National Park.

The hike invites you to know, in detail and in a pleasant way, this paradise where the mountains can be reached from the shore of the sea, and the fresh water of rivers and lakes coexists with the marine coast. Finishing the trekking, you'll reach National Route n°3, where you´ll be picked up to have a break.

Near Lake Acigami you will have lunch in comfortable structural tents to be protected from the weather conditions. After this break,and after fitting the rubber boots, cover pants and lifejackets, you will paddle easily in an inflatable canoe (duckie type, very safe and stable ) from Acigami Lake, down the very slowly flowing Lapataia and Ovando rivers. The journey finishes in Lapataia Bay. For about an hour, you will see the flora and fauna of inaccessible places, approaching the point of view enjoyed by the Yámana several centuries ago.

Activities Details:

Difficulty level: medium, with weather conditions exposure. No previous experience required.
Minimum age: 5 years old.
Season: All the year
Included: transportation, Spanish/English guides, lunch and drinks. Canoeing equipment:rubber boots, life jacket and over-pants.
No included: National Park entrance fee or visit to the end of the world train.
Hiking level: medium. 3:00 - 3:30 hs. Distance covered: 8 km. / 4,4 miles
Canoeing: low difficulty. If the passenger does not want to take part in the activity, the option is to reach Lapataia Bay by bus.
Recommended clothing: trekking boots, waterproof jacket, warm clothing, an extra pair of socks.

08:00 - Hotel Pick Up

09:20 - National Park arrival

09:30 - Coastal Path trekking

12:30 - River Lapataia arrival and lunch break

13:45 - Acigami Lake. Paddling technique briefing and canoeing activity

15:15 - Lapataia Bay

15:45 - Ushuaia returning

16:30 - Arrival Arakur

* Approximated schedule. The timing and the order of the tour activities might change if necessary. Between October and May the hours vary according to the duration of the days.

* If the Coastal path were not open to the public, the guide will propose an alternative walk, of approximate duration.

Terms and Conditions:

Modified / canceled reservations up to 7 days in advance will not have a penalty. Between 7 days and 48 hours prior to the start date of the excursion, 50% penalty will be charged. Within 48 hours of the start date, cancellation charges will amount to 100 % of the cost of the excursion.
Rates are subject to possible modifications without prior notice.
The excursions are subject to availability and weather conditions.
In the event that the requested excursion cannot be carried out for the reasons already detailed, it will be compensated for another experience of equal value and similar attributes.
Reservations will be considered canceled or modified when the guest requests it via email and the confirmation of receipt by the company has been given.
