Brett, Jennifer, Manissa and Meg,

On this momentous occasion, I am a reminded of a quote from Angela Davis; “I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change. I am changing the things I cannot accept.” We began this year under the weight of the COVID-19 pandemic resulting in a myriad of unknowns. We collectively witnessed unfathomable violence, civil unrest, social and racial injustices, and atrocities throughout our society. In these uncertain times each of your demonstrated adaptability, remained opened to learning and trusted in the process. You provided stellar services in each of your respective roles at MPTF and developed critical social work skills that will help you become successful practitioners. Myself and those who have supported you in this journey have had the privilege of witnessing your professional growth and evolution. We hope you find fulfillment, energy, and innovative ways to continue your work. Wherever you go and whomever you meet I hope you will stand proud and stay rooted in both GSWEC ethics and values. Please know that we are incredibly thankful for all your hard work and contributions. Congratulations on this significant accomplished GSWEC Grad!
