For complete details on eligibility, employment and hiring steps, and Frequently Asked Questions about FWS, visit the Office of Student Employment website.
Federal Work Study (FWS) is part of a student's financial aid package and can be found in the student's home portal under the Financial Aid summary. If eligible, FWS will be listed along with other aid such as scholarships, grants, and loans. The award amount is the amount that can be earned through an on-campus or approved community-based job, utilizing these funds. For questions on eligibility or to explore an increase in the award amount, students should contact APU's Student Services Center.
▶️ Graduate Students: Students eligible for Title IV aid who complete a FAFSA may request FWS eligibility through APU’s Student Services Center at ssc@apu.edu, as FWS is not automatically included in graduate aid packages. Students interested in CAP community-based positions must first confirm FWS eligibility.
