We believe in performance-based assessments and self-assessment: Standard Ten. Therefore, we have implemented interdisciplinary learning units. They ask students to perform to demonstrate their knowledge, understanding, and proficiency. They produce artifacts to show what they learned. Performance assessment looks at the SPARK students’ higher-order thinking skills and problem-solving abilities and allows the teachers to adjust where needed. This translates to students performing better on state and school assessments.
CCRPI data shows that SPARK increased 4.3 points from 2017-2019 to 2018-2019.
Springdale Park students consistently perform well on the climate survey. 99% of parents indicated that their child liked school.
