Task #1 - Business Proposal
Use the Business Proposal sheet I gave you and follow directions....
Make sure to fill out the proposal completely with details!
How to get your proposal approved:
Brainstorm and decide on a business idea that is entirely original - try to be innovative, take something already being done and make it better, but make sure it is unique.
Decide on a unique/creative/original company name! DO NOT use your first or last name.
Provide specific details about your products and services! What do you do that is special or unique?
Make a catchy, creative tagline! (Don't repeat your company name in the tagline) Ex. Subway's tagline is "Eat Fresh".
Find THREE businesses that are your competition! Use these to get ideas and make your company better than theirs.
Sketch THREE logo design ideas!
Task #2 - Logo
Must Have:
Company Name - large with effects (shadow, stroke, glow, etc.)
Symbol/Artwork - crisp, stylish art to establish your identity and complement your name - use Graphics from Canva (no photos or videos)
Tagline - catchy phrase or words to describe your company (ex. Subway "Eat Fresh", McDonald's "I'm Lovin' It")
Also:
Include a copyright or trademark with your logo.
Use 2-3 colors if possible, not too many
Avoid using too much effects, 2-3 at most per object
NO PHOTOS, only clip art or original drawing
EXAMPLES can be seen at the Student Sites page or outside room #214.
Be creative, but follow the rules/guidelines. Your finished logo should look like a real, professional logo!
Logo Design in Canva
HOW TO MAKE A LOGO IN CANVA
JOIN my Canva Team - I put a link in Classroom.
LOG-IN TO CANVA.COM with your APS Google
Click on "Create a design" and search "logo". You will make a custom logo - NO TEMPLATES
Start with a new, blank page - again, don't use TEMPLATES
Yours will have more than the basic logos on Canva. The logo should be centered on the white background.
There are A LOT of options in Canva - lots of fonts, effects, and lots of graphics/clip art to use.
MR. V will need to approve it before you move on to the brochure.
DOWNLOAD YOUR LOGO so you can insert it in your brochure. Choose PNG and "transparent background".
This is Canva! The tools on the left side of the screen are easy to use. Learn by doing!
I made this logo in Logo Makr
This is a HORIZONTAL logo - if you don't want to cover your artwork, do this....
How to take a SCREENSHOT

BROCHURE DETAILS
Generally, the inside of the brochure has LOTS OF DETAILS (short paragraphs and images - everything is SMALL, not big.) about your products and services.
The outside of the brochure has various info such as (locations, hours, contact, events coupons, promotions, sales, etc.)
Everything on the page should be small, avoid making objects/text big to take up space!
Be creative, but follow the rules/guidelines, too!
UPDATE: Find images in Canva to put in your brochure!
Use Canva "Elements" to find images (much better than Google Images).
Download the image, choose "transparent background" - then, drag the image into your brochure from the Downloads folder.
You may want to crop the image.

IMPORTANT TIPS AND GUIDELINES
- PUT EVERYTHING IN SEPARATE BOXES - shapes, titles, sentences
50% images/graphics - 50% information/text = Balance
You can use shapes to organize information if you like - squares, circles, etc.
You can use colors to distinguish elements from each other
