Juliette A. Beck grew up in the Midwest and first moved to New Mexico while on National Student Exchange to attend The University of New Mexico. She received her bachelor's degree in Fine Art with a minor in Gender, Women, & Sexuality Studies from The University of Minnesota. After graduation, she returned to New Mexico as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer. Juliette obtained her master’s degree in Art Education from The University of New Mexico. She holds a Level III Teaching License from the State of New Mexico and is endorsed in Visual Art and Performing Arts. She taught Theatre, Musical Theatre, and Visual Art at Public Academy for Performing Arts (PAPA) for over a decade. While at PAPA, Juliette was the Team Lead for the RLAS National Study (Reducing LGBTQ+ Adolescent Suicide), funded by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, in partnership with PIRE, UNM, UCSD, and NASN. She also sponsored YouthCHAT, a Peer Helpers program, in partnership with New Mexico Department of Health’s Office of School and Adolescent Health. She loves to create art, promote positivity, support young artists, read memoirs, soak in hot springs, and try to make the world a better place.
