If you are planning for a year, sow rice;
if you are planning for a decade, plant trees;
if you are planning for a lifetime, educate people.

Welcome! My name is Ms. Gina Marselle, and this is my 23rd year as an educator with APS. I am highly qualified to teach Gifted Education, English Language Arts, and Visual Arts. I have taught gifted and talented education on and off in the K-12 setting since 2002. My Master's degree is in Gifted Education. As you may speculate, I am passionate about gifted education. Additionally, I have taught 9th, 10th, and 12th-grade ELA, Advanced Placement Literature & Composition, and College Preparatory Courses at the high school level. I feel fortunate to bring my investment in gifted education and academics here to ECA.
This year, I am delighted to continue this important work here at Early College Academy. I look forward to guiding gifted high school learners in meeting their goals, as well as becoming amazing academics who may one day change the world. My goal as a gifted education sponsor is to guide students toward academic success and to help them build critical thinking skills that will allow them to blossom for college or career readiness. Ultimately, fostering self-advocacy, confidence, and motivation to do anything. Through an interactive IEP, we can set realistic goals to help students meet their fullest potential. I will also involve all stakeholders in IEPs and send out progress toward goals reports quarterly. Furthermore, I am dedicated to the well-being of my students, and I need stakeholders’ cooperation in helping students reach their potential.
Please feel free to contact me by email, Marselle@aps.edu, with any concerns regarding your child's academic success. I check my email regularly and will attend to your message as soon as I am able to do so. You may also contact me by phone. Please call 505-247-3658 and request room A105. I am looking forward to a splendid school year.
Respectfully,
Gina Marselle, M.A.Ed., CIL
P.S. See below for some photos of my personal life.
On a personal note, I love horses, spending time with my family, being at home, and celebrating wonderful occasions. I have a rescue horse, a rescue dog, and a Service Dog that accompanies me most days at school. I love to take photographs (especially of my family, animals, and sunsets) and write poetry.
