Welcome, educators! The district is committed to a professional development experience that is truly transformative. We believe that professional learning should be more than just informational; it should be a structure that creates genuine, lasting change in practice for the benefit of every student.
We see this as a shared responsibility. We believe that educators are the catalysts for transformative learning and are essential in creating the conditions for it to happen.
Our approach is rooted in the belief that learning is a basic human need and a pathway to personal and professional growth. We operate from the assumption that adults want to learn and are driven to reach their full potential. This is why our professional development is based on principles of adult learning theory, ensuring that it respects your expertise and supports your journey as a lifelong learner.
We invite you to explore our resources and intentionally align them with your work as you see fit. We hope you can dive into trainings throughout our site and in-person events to gain the knowledge and tools needed for success in the classroom and beyond.
Here's what you can expect:
Your experience is valued. Your expertise and real-world experience are welcomed and built upon in every session.
The learning is relevant. You'll always understand the clear purpose and direct relevance of what you're learning to your role.
You have a voice. You'll have opportunities to make choices about how you engage with the material and activities.
You'll apply what you learn. Dedicated time is set aside for you to practice and apply new skills or strategies and to receive constructive feedback.
The content is practical. Our content directly addresses the real problems and challenges you face in your professional role.
You are a valued professional. We treat you as a capable and inherently motivated professional, respecting your desire to learn and grow.
Learning is a social process. You'll engage with colleagues in meaningful ways, making learning a collaborative and social experience.
