Lexia Core 5 is the program for students K-5.
Lexia Power Up is the program for students 6-8. It is not a continuation of Core 5 and should not be used with K-5 students.
MyLexia provides access to the teacher dashboard for student monitoring.
If you are a non-classroom teacher, you can request an account for myLexia by contacting support@pps.net.
The first time a student logs in to Lexia they will need to take a placement test. The test begins automatically and appears just as the other learning modules in Lexia. There are verbal instructions for the questions and for navigation. If a students closes the program during the placement it will restart at the last section began by the student, not the beginning. The initial placement takes anywhere from 15-25 minutes on average. In the teacher dashboard, you will see in the Grade Level Material column a students status. Not Started means a students has yet to begin the placement. In Placement means they have begun but have not finished the placement. Finished means they have completed the program entirely. You may also see a blue bar and level to indicate that the student has completed the placement and is not working on modules within their assigned level.
Teachers should recommend no more than 15 minutes of Lexia per day for home use. You can monitor your student's usage and progress on the myLexia dashboard.
