How to Pack SAM Labs

What are the charging options for my SAM blocks?

Each kit comes with single or multi micro USB charging cables which you can use to charge 1 (single) to 5 (multi) blocks at a time. You can also purchase a charging station which allows you to charge 30 blocks at once.

How do I charge my SAM blocks?

To charge your blocks, plug the micro USB charging cable into the charging port of the SAM block, located on the bottom of the block. If the block shows a red light, the battery is still charging.  When the light turns green, the block is fully charged.

For additional help, you can follow the in-app tutorial or watch our how-to video below:

How long do the batteries in the SAM blocks last?

Once charged, blocks are expected to run continuously between 3 hours (DC Motors and Servo Motors) to 5 hours before they run out of battery.

Note: You can also use the blocks when they are charging.

I have a broken wireless block and need a replacement. What do I do?

It may not be broken! If you are concerned you have a broken wireless block, please see whether fully charging it and “resetting” solves the problem first. If you still think you need to replace your block, please complete and submit the form at https://replace.samlabs.com/ to request a replacement.  Once completed, a team member will be in touch with you shortly to replace your block.
