Course Description
Students will practice using techniques learned in the Foundations of Photography Class at a more challenging level. Students are encouraged to develop their personal voice through personal artwork. Students learn about presentation of personal artwork in a portfolio and in art shows. Students learn to see through the eyes of a photographer, emphasis is placed on composition and originality. Students have the opportunity to explore analog/darkroom processes including alternative photograph as well as learning digital photography techniques including an introduction to ADOBE PHOTOSHOP AND ILLUSTRATOR CS6. Students learn to appreciate the art of photography through observation, discussion and practice. Students are inspired through the study of contemporary and historical photographers.
