The 2023-2024 1:1 lessons have been added to digital citizenship lessons from Common Sense Media. 

Is keeping up with technology making your head spin? As soon as you learn one tool, it changes. Or another, better one comes along to take its place. In fact, you barely have time to learn new tools. You have lessons to plan and papers to grade and meetings to attend and actual live human beings to teach. You want to be more tech-savvy. 

This webpage was developed to offer many different district supported resources. These resources range  from links to our Student Information System to digital teacher tools to assist in the classroom. Be sure to continue to scroll down to see all that is available!

The goal of the Inspired Educator Series for elementary is to support teachers with the implementation of balanced literacy and to ensure technology and tools are strategically and effectively leveraged to improve student learning outcomes. 

Adobe Spark is the perfect free educational tool to bring creativity into the classroom and increase student engagement.  Students can easily create reports, presentations, posters, and more!

Benchmark Universe It is a portal to cross-curricular collections of rich, interactive e-books. Designed to be easy and efficient to plan and deliver engaging instruction, these e-books provide targeted practice, while motivating students and meeting their unique needs. 

Book Creator is a simple tool for creating awesome digital books. Create your own teaching resources or have your students take the reins. 

Balanced literacy is a theory of teaching reading and writing that arose in the 1990s and has a variety of interpretations. For some, balanced literacy strikes a balance between whole language and phonics.

Edgenuity is online courseware, gradebook, and student management system built into one package for grades 6-12. It offers A-G approved courses, videos, quizzes, tests, projects, etc. using automated tracking and grading.

EdPuzzle is a free assessment-centered tool that allows teachers and students to create interactive online videos by embedding either open-ended or multiple-choice questions, audio notes, audio tracks, or comments on a video. Edpuzzle interactive videos can be made with videos from a number of websites, including YouTube, TED, Vimeo, and National Geographic. 

The Intouch Parent Notification Service is a fully hosted web-based application (ASP) that requires no software, hardware, or telephone lines. With a quick and easy setup, schools and districts can record customized messages in any language using a human voice or computerized text-to-speech that will reach thousands of recipients in just minutes.

Flipgrid is a video discussion community for your classroom that supercharges your students’ voices. You add the topics, your students respond with short videos, and everyone engages! Students feel empowered and heard. Teachers can provide feedback to students and/or allow other students to provide feedback to each other. 

Google Classroom is a streamlined, easy-to-use tool that helps teachers manage coursework. With Classroom, educators can create classes, distribute assignments, grade and send feedback, and see everything in one place.

G Suite is a suite of cloud computing, productivity and collaboration tools, software and products developed by Google.

The Imagine Learning supplemental math program suite provides adaptive, age-appropriate learning environments for students in PreK–8.

Kami is the leading PDF & document annotation app for schools. Improve engagement and interaction in the classroom with Kami as your digital pen and paper. 

MyViewboard for Windows is a digital whiteboard that allows users to write, highlight, edit and transform documents and images on-screen in real-time, leveraging interactive displays to create more engaging presentations.  This platform integrates with Google and provides tools for screencasting.

Pear Deck Slides help you engage every student in every seat and give formative assessments, no matter what grade or subject you teach. Using Pear Deck will help you create an interactive and community-focused classroom that builds confidence and comprehension.

Q, PUSD Student Information System (SIS). Q is a fully web-based application that works to proactively provide information to users not just data.

Quizizz is an online assessment tool that allows to teachers and students to create and use one another's quizzes. After providing students with a unique access code, a quiz can be recorded live as a timed competition or used as a homework with a specific deadline.  Has Google Classroom integration.

Pomona Unified School District has purchased and adopted the Remind Communication application as the district wide platform for two-way messaging (phone and text) with parents and students. 

Screencastify is an ultra simple screen recorder that will supercharge the way you communicate at work. Record, edit and share HD videos in seconds. Instead of typing up long emails, reports or documentation, deliver your message more quickly and clearly with a screen video. 

Seesaw is a platform for student engagement. Teachers can empower students to create, reflect, share, and collaborate. Students “show what they know” using photos, videos, drawings, text, PDFs, and links. 

Stemscopes

STEMscopes offers easy delivery of science lessons.  K-12 Teachers have resources per unit (to which we refer as a «scope/module») built around a 5E mode The program empowers teachers to focus on effective instruction, rather than on devoting time to a search for quality resources and materials. The online content was instantly accessible and highly customizable for your students’ individual needs. 

Insync
