Equity and access are at the heart of the Pomona Unified School District's Educational Technology Team's effort to expand the walls of the classroom to “everywhere, all the time learning” and support the digital learning vision of providing opportunities and environments that will equip, inspire, and empower all learners to effectively use technology and become self-directed, goal-oriented, and productive members of their communities.
Hello, and welcome to Pomona Unified School District's EdTech website, where we hope to create a one-stop shop for all things 'educational technology.' On this website, you will find resources around our Future Ready Promise District Technology Plan, our Future Ready Promise Schools One-to-One (1:1) Program, the Computer Science/Robotics for All Program, professional learning resources such as videos and how-to guides, digital curriculum reviews/pilots, and much more.
Our mission in Educational Technology is to ensure that all PUSD students have access to technology as a learning tool and that all students are equipped, inspired, and empowered to become their best selves and are college and career-ready when they graduate. To do this, we work to build administrator and teacher capacity in actively utilizing technology for blended and personalized learning within our schools.
Now is the time to fully integrate technology as a tool for deeper student learning while understanding that taking risks, failing forward, and continuing to grow is okay. As Google Education evangelist Jaime Casap has said, "Technology needs to become a more invisible, organic, seamless part of teaching and learning." Most importantly, how we integrate technology into teaching and learning, we are working to ensure that it truly meets the learning needs of PUSD students - and do so with strategy, pedagogy, and purpose.
