Plan for Word of the Week: "IN"

If you can only choose one resource, this video is excellent. It does take an hour to watch.

The Core Word of the Week is "IN"

Have students watch videos featuring the core word "in." Model how to find and select the word on their devices or communication boards while watching the videos. If this is easy, make it more challenging! Model sentences like "I want in" or "go in". Feel free to pause the video and watch as many times as you would like.

Choose one activity to complete 5 minutes each day. Focus on modeling the word "in" during this time. Review these ideas for an activity to try that you think your child would find fun. For example, hold all the puzzle pieces and model what each one is before giving it to your child (e.g. "go in", “put in”) to put into the puzzle.

- Barn and farm animals

- Zoo pens and zoo animals

- Dress up with dolls

- Shape sorter

- Ball tower with holes to put balls in

- Trains and tunnels

- Dolls in dollhouse

-Pretend play: Easter Egg hunt, Trick or Treating

-Clean up, putting toys away in bins
