If we find ourselves in the Yellow Zone, we can use strategies to help us move back to the Green Zone.
Use a favorite deep breathing strategy.
Talk to an adult or a good friend.
Take a break.
Squeeze a stress ball.
Take a walk, even to the bathroom.
Imagine you are in your happy place.
Think about a time where you have been in the Yellow Zone at school and a time where you have been in the Yellow Zone at home. How did you recognize that you were in the Yellow Zone? What did you body feel like? How did you move back into the Green Zone?
