If we find ourselves in the Red Zone, we can use strategies to help us move back to the Green Zone.
Take a break.
Squeeze a stress ball.
Use a favorite breathing strategy.
Talk to an adult- a teacher, a recess teacher, a parent, or Ms. Nelson
Close your eyes and think of a happier time.
Do a body-scan and evaluate size of the problem.
Use a mindfulness strategy.
Think about a time where you have been in the Red Zone at school and a time where you have been in the Red Zone at home. How did you move through the Red Zone and back into the green zone? Think about what you strategies you can use to calm yourself down. How do you recognize that you are in the Red Zone?
