Assessment Is Wicked Good #CurriculumThatCounts
Executive Summary. GCC is building a baseline for cocurricular learning assessment and preparing a Fall 2025 pilot aligned with the academic program process. Foundational work since 2018 includes expanding assessment into Student Affairs, launching a student-organization pilot, and creating a Student Affairs Workgroup; current efforts are focused on a mapped, PAIR-aligned pilot with reporting to follow.
Analysis in progress.
The GCC Honors Program requires students to complete co-curricular activities each semester and submit associated work; for the Presidents’ Honors Scholarship, students complete two co-curricular activities with required submissions each term. This work is part of GCC’s broader cocurricular assessment effort, and Honors participates by setting learning outcomes in collaboration with faculty and staff. Report forthcoming.
The cocurricular pilot is beginning Fall 2025. We’ll update this page as maps and results are submitted. Questions or contributions from pilot areas can be sent to assessment@gccaz.edu.
