Although this is a face-to-face class, you will still need reliable access to a computer/ laptop/ chromebook/ mobile device and WiFi throughout the semester because you are required to complete assignments in Canvas. You also have access to Google Apps through the Los Rios Single Sign-on portal.
This is a transferable, 3 unit college class which means that I do expect you to read our required textbook below. However, I do not expect you to do that alone and have provided study guides and posting instructional videos to make reading and learning more focused and easier to understand.
The required textbook can be purchased or rented, and is also available on reserve at the ARC Library. I know that sometimes reading can be scary, but the value of what you are learning from this book is priceless and worth the "sweat equity" and your time.
Our text, Psychology of Prejudice and Discrimination, is available as a digital book via the ARC Library. You may be asked to log in with your student ID number and password. Click “Digital Textbook” to see the book. Access is limited to 1 user at a time as a 2-hour loan, but if it is already being used then you can add yourself to a waitlist
