ARC Deaf Culture and ASL Studies program - Provides academic coursework based on a Deaf-centered framework that encourages students to embrace an empowered collaboration with Deaf people. Academic coursework offered includes courses such as American Sign Language (ASL), ASL Linguistics, Deaf Education, ASL Literature, Deaf psychology, and Mental Health and Wellness presented through a Deaf-centered lens.
Deaf Culture & ASL-English Interpreting Resource Center - Located in Tech Ed West, 405, the center is used for several courses in the Deaf Culture/ASL Studies program and the Interpreter Preparation Program. The center also provides drop-in hours where students may practice their ASL comprehension and expressive skills, interact with other students in ASL, and work on homework assignments and research projects associated with their Deaf Culture/ASL Studies and/or interpreting classes. Upon enrollment in any of our Deaf Culture/ASL Studies or Interpreting program courses, you will be sent an invite to join the Canvas site where many of our resources are housed.
