A 30 minute webinar that explores the resource 'Mastering the Basic Math Facts in Addition and Subtraction' and discusses ways to support all students in fact mastery.  Whether you are introducing students to basic facts, reviewing facts or supporting struggling students, you will leave with insights and activities from this resource to simplify this complex and vital component of math teaching.  

A 30 minute session that explores the numeracy development continuum, with an emphasis on strategies and key ideas and how they develop over time.  Supports within the resource are highlighted and connected to the HPEDSB board assessment tools.

Today’s math class has shifted from memorization to increased understanding of math skills and concepts. The goal of this session is to explore numerous strategies and activities that support all students in developing automaticity with basic math facts beginning with conceptual understanding and moving to fact fluency.
