Hi, how are you doing? I hope you're doing okay! My name is Mckenna, and my page gives you information on being a therapist.
I know it might not be everybody's desire to help people, and that's perfectly fine. I know what it's like to be afraid to reach out for help, and I want to be able to see signs before they get to be too bad.

What Do Therapists Do?
Therapists do many things in a work day, but I'll give you the run-down of what a normal day would look like for one.
...
When a therapist gets to work, some things they do may include drinking coffee to mentally prepare for the day, (if they like coffee), get set up, and start prepping for their first client. They may even start off their day with a meeting or two with their co-workers, or boss.
Next, they would have their morning sessions, and they might have more meetings. Then, they would have lunch and prepare for the afternoon.
Then, some would finish off their day with some afternoon sessions, or some would just take notes or file papers that they used throughout the day.
At their sessions
Now, I'm not saying that these things are the same for all therapists around the world, but it is just a small rundown of the main things one might do in a day.
At their one-on-one sessions, they will talk to their clients about how their life is going. They ask them personal questions, and just check-up on their mental health.

While there is technically no age limit to become a therapist, it requires several years of education and training, so most therapists don't start until their late 20s, or early 30s.
Here's a little reminder that you're not alone. You got this! If you need to take a break, here are a few resources that might help you to get back at your best!
To become a therapist, you need certain skills. Whether mental or physical, they all build up to make you a reliable person to talk to. That list to the left are just a few skills that will help you succeed. I would say that they're probably the most important ones to make you a strong candidate for a therapist.
What Level of Education Do I Need?
The first step in becoming a therapist is getting your Bachelor's Degree in psychology, or a related field.
Finally, you can finish off with your Master's Degree. This should be in psychology, counseling, or social work.
What is the Work Environment, Job Rating, and Demand?
The job rating for a therapist is pretty high, I don't think you can find how it's rated out of five stars, but most people say that they enjoy what they do, even though it may be stressful sometimes.
This job is growing fairly fast. It has a high demand, and strong growth due to the need of mental health support that followed the COVID-19 pandemic.
Therapists usually work in small offices. They can work in a counseling building, school, and many other places. When they're talking with people, they will be sitting on a chair or couch, and the client will be somewhere near them. I will insert a few photos of what a room for therapy could look like. Therapists typically work up to 40 hours per week
Summary
To sum everything up for you, therapists help people to overcome obstacles and build your personal life skills. They talk to you about coping skills, ways to open up, how to build your relationships, and strive to be your best self everyday. If you nobody told you this already, it is OK to not be OK!! Everyone struggles at some point in some way, and I just want you to know that you're never alone!
