Staff - All licensed staff in Osseo are eligible to receive a device.
ESP's - ESP's who are instructional, special education, or EL may request a device.
Students - All students who take one or more classes at Osseo Area Schools. Full-time PSEO students are not eligible to receive a device without a permission form available at the school counseling office.
If the device is damaged or lost please bring it to the attention of the Media Center and/or device tech at your student’s building as soon as possible. There is a much better chance for success in device recovery if we know within the first few hours.
The protection plan has been discontinued and replaced with a pay-as-you-damage system. More information about this program may be found on the Device Management Page.
Please call First Student at 763-391-7244 or email: BusQuestions@district279.org. Leave the student's first and last name, bus number, school of attendance, time of day left on the bus and a call back number. Transportation staff will take the message and contact the correct bus vendor to find out if the device has been found.
Students who misplaced the charging supplies or need a replacement can order one at the media center. Students will be billed in our fee management system and will need to pay for the replacement within 30 days.
Devices may only be used and accessed by students using an Osseo Apps account. Any account used on the device is subject to the terms of the Osseo Area Schools Board Policy 441.
It is your child’s responsibility to bring the device to school charged and ready to go every day. Repeated failure to bring the device will be addressed at the school level. If the device is missing, please report it to your child’s media center immediately.
Students should enable their Google Drive for offline use so they can continue their work in Google Suite. When they reconnect to WiFi the next day, their work will be backed up to their drive.
All middle school and high school students take the devices home. Devices remain in the classroom for students in elementary school.
