Materials for 6th Grade students ONLY for the start of school.
All 6th graders:
Complete the Video Consent form (scroll down)
Complete the Band Parent Survey (for parents/guardians!) (scroll down)
Download (scroll down) the First Five Notes, Rhythm Chart 1, and Rain Rain for your instrument so you are ready for the first days of school.
Turn in your pencils and kleenex on Back to School Night (listed on School Supply List)
Have your Band Binder materials ready for the 2nd day of band class! (listed on School Supply List)
Go to EduTrak to pay your Method Book fee online for 25-26. If you took summer band lessons with Mr. Rinear, you might have received one of your books paid with the Book fee. Otherwise, you will receive both books in 6th grade. Look for: 25-26 RMS Band Method Books.
6th graders who play School Instruments only:
Go to EduTrak to pay your annual rental fee. Look for: 25-26 RMS Band Instrument Rental. Once this is complete, you can pick up your instrument (Allow 10-15 minutes for pick up). This is for tuba, baritone, and french horn
6th graders who play District Instruments (Band for All) only:
See a band teacher to pick up your instrument. A parent/guardian must sign for your instrument.
Beginning Band Students only:
See a band teacher on August 19 or August 21 to choose your instrument! After you have chosen, we will provide you with options for getting your instrument.

If you can play these first five notes on your instrument, you will be ready for the first days of band! If you cannot play them, or have forgotten them over the summer, please practice and review them so you are ready for the first days of band.
We will use this Rhythm Chart during the first weeks of band. You will receive a Chart to put into your Band Binder.
This is one of the first songs we will play together as a band. Find your instrument line, practice it, and be ready to play this during the first two weeks of school!
