Surf the Mississippi
Before beginning your journey make a KWL chart in your notebooks:
In the K column - Write everything you might know about the Mississippi
In the W column - Write at least 3 questions you have about the river
The L column will be where you document your new learning. You can continue to add questions that come up as you do your exploring as well.
