Chick-fil-A Review
Dasiy Henrie
Have you ever heard of Chick-fil-A? A lot of people have. Some people think it’s the best fast-food place in the world. Other people do not. It is amazing. Sometimes I have some bad experiences. It also depends on the day. Some days it tastes like heaven in your mouth. Other days it could have been better.
One time I got a chicken sandwich. I was starving. I opened it up and I took a bite. It was soggy and mushy. It wasn't the best sandwich I ever had, but I didn't complain. Every other time I went to Chick-fil-A though, it was extremely flavorful. When I walk in, the workers say a nice, warm welcome. When you say, “Thank you!” they say, “My pleasure!” I think that is just so sweet. A lot of the time I go to Chick-fil-A, the service is really fast. It also depends on the day, because some days it is slow as a snail.
So why do people hate Chick-fil-A?
People say that the service is horrible. But when I go, I get such a nice greeting. I just don't get why people are so harsh to the workers. The workers are doing their best. So just be patient.
I give Chick-fil-A 4.5 out of 5 stars
The Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
By:Tasmyn Driessen
The Red Queen follows the story of Mare Barrow, a red born girl who steals to survive. She gets the opportunity to work for the people she despises most, silvers. Silvers believe they’re better than the reds just because they have powers and their blood is silver. Mare grudgingly accepts, only because she needs a job. Whilst serving the reds, she falls through an arena, lightning shoots out from her for the whole world to see. She is a mistake. She has red blood, but has powers. Now she has to pretend to be silver, or else she will die. She goes through many challenges and gets betrayed by the one she trusted most in the end.
Overall, this book is great and has many plot twists that will leave you wanting more. I give this book a 8/10 just because it got boring at some points, and I’m still mad at the ending of the book. But I do recommend this book to anyone that loves a good fantasy with a touch of romance!
Rating: 8/10
Action: 7/10
Plot: 10/10
Romance: 8/10

Do You Want a Wonka’s Chocolate?
Movie review by Liam Farrell
About a month ago, I was given the opportunity to watch the 2023 film, “Wonka”. I personally enjoyed the movie. The cast included Timothée Chalamet and Hugh Grant. The story is about a young Willy Wonka trying to make it in life by selling chocolate to the world and going through the troubles of getting his very own chocolate factory.
According to IMDb, “Wonka” is rated 7.1/10 with 83% Rotten Tomatoes.
If I was given the option to rate the film, I would rate it a 10/10 immediately. The fantastic film was directed by Paul King. It was also distributed by Warner Brothers.
The ticket sales were through the roof! According to AP News, “Wonka” reached an estimated ticket sales of $24 million. In total, the box office has reached a staggering $605.8 million. Which is insane because the movie was released on December 15th, 2023.
“ Wonka” is rated PG. So if you're a little kid or have younger relatives they can also enjoy the film. My favorite character is the Oompa Loompa, portrayed by Hugh Grant. The reason I love the Oompa Loompas is because they are hardworking, very serious and short like me. The Oompa Loompa were first introduced in the 1964 book. They were finally shown in the 1971 film.
I personally think that this movie is overall better than both of the previous films. According to Ms. Stoker, “ I loved it!” “I thought it was very sweet and I even cried at the end.” Overall, I recommend this movie and would definitely watch it again.
The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han
By:Aubrey Stikeleather
The Summer I Turned Pretty is an amazing book. The main focus is about a teenage girl who goes to a beach house every summer to visit friends who, to her, are like family. Belly’s mom is bestfriends with Susannah, who is the mother of Jeramiah and Conrad Fisher. Belly meets multiple different guys but she still has a crush on Conrad. But she also likes Jeremiah, because she had spent so much time with him that a crush started to develop. Belly wanted to date one of them, but ended up dating a guy named Cameron. Cameron was amazing to Belly, but she wasn't as interested in him so she broke up with him so she could date one of the Fisher boys.
Although he was a lifeguard during the summer, Belly was able to get a job where Jeremiah normally worked. While Belly was at work, Susannah started to get sick and have stomach pains so she went to the doctors office.
While she was at the doctor, she found out her cancer came back, but she didn't want to get treatment and go through chemo because she thought there would be no point since it would probably end up coming back anyway. Everyone was worried and became devastated with the awful news and Susannah wanted to just live life and be free. Belly started to get sad and upset but she knew she had to be strong for Susannah and not give up on her. So she and Sussannah ended up having fun and started to hangout with all her favorite people and had parties to see everyone.
I think when she was struggling on who she liked, she should have tried to learn more about them and understand their personalities better to know what they’re like and how they act in different situations. I think Belly and Taylor struggled a lot because Taylor was also obsessed with Jeramiah and Conrad. Belly was my favorite character because she talked a lot about how she felt about the issues that occured and what she thought of people. The first book of the series was amazing and I can't wait to read the next two books. I think the next books will be interesting, and that a lot of new events will happen. Overall, I think this book was very interesting and entertaining. I would definitely suggest this book to someone, especially those who love to read about romance and teenage difficulties.
