In this unit, students investigated solids, liquids, and gases in ways like never before! Students determined the properties of different substances by conducting multiple experiments. They also investigated the rate of dissolvability and how different factors can affect the rate at which substances dissolve (heat, particle size, stirring).
In this unit, students are learning all about ecosystems and how plants and animals work together in harmony. Students are working together to build a terrarium and are tracking the growth across several weeks. In addition, students are exploring food chains and food webs and how energy flows through them!
Students will be learning about the Earth's systems and will be able to explain how they interact with one another. Students will dive deep into learning about the specifics of the Geosphere, Hydrosphere, Biosphere, and the Atmosphere. They will also be able to identify how these "spheres" impact the landforms, bodies of water, and ecosystems that are found on earth.
Later on, students will be learning about Constructive and Deconstructive forces that occur on Earth and how those forces can change the geosphere.
In this unit, your students will be exploring many different patterns that are often seen with the earth and outer space! Students will learn about the concept of gravity, shadows, stars and their relative distance to earth and much more! Your students will also get to complete some really engaging STEM projects during this unit, like an "egg" drop experiment and competition!
