Unit 1A | Whole Number Place Value & Operations
Unit 1 focuses on multiplying and dividing multi-digit whole numbers. Your child will develop the ability to multiply multi-digit (up to 4-digit) whole numbers by 1- and 2-digit numbers using the standard multiplication algorithm, with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.
Students will also divide 4-digit whole numbers by 1- and 2-digit divisors using the standard division algorithm.
In addition, they will apply their multiplication and division skills to solve real-world word problems. Students will need to determine which operation is appropriate for each situation and interpret the remainder based on the context of the problem.

Unit 1B | Area, Perimeter, Volume and Customary Conversions
Unit 1B focuses on using all that we learned from Unit 1A and applying it towards finding the area, perimeter, and volume or figures. In addition, students will also convert customary conversions.
Students WILL be able to use this resource on their assessments.
