Jillian Wu

After graduating from Rhode Island College in 2004 with a B.S. in Music Education, Mrs. Wu taught elementary and middle school bands in New Hampshire, Arizona, California, and Massachusetts before planting some roots here in Delaware. She joined the Appoquinimink school district in 2015 as an elementary band director and absolutely loves it! Mrs. Wu’s primary instrument is percussion, but she loves having the opportunity to get young musicians started on all of the beginning band instruments. She looks forward to working with all of the new band students and families in her buildings.

Mrs. Wu enjoys traveling, outside adventures, exercising, drinking Dunkin Donuts coffee, and spending quality time with friends and family.  She lives with her husband and two sons in Newark.
