Students are expected to Read for 20 minutes every night.
Spelling will be done in their spelling notebooks. These are to come back to school daily because we also use them in class.
Math homework will usually be to study math facts. I do occasionally give math homework, but only once to twice in a week. If students do not complete their work in class due to choices, then that work will be assigned for homework. It will have a Please finish and return on the top of the page.

We have a spelling packet and the kids can choose one page to do each night. Another option that they have is to make flash cards and study them. If they choose this option then they have to bring a signed paper from a guardian saying that they chose this option for one day of homework.
