The third-year in Latin offers an intellectually stimulating, challenging, and enjoyable program, which rewards students who have worked diligently and persevered through the demands of the first two years’ foundation of grammar. Course work often takes the form of discussion, team projects and/or independent research, with a focus on Greek, as well as Roman, culture and history. Another important objective of the course is an ongoing study of etymology (English word-building), as well as further study of mythology, and a comparative (Greek versus Roman) literature/history survey.
Prerequisite – Successful completion of Latin II. One year; 1 credit.
