ANTIOCH UNIVERSITY CHAPTER
ANTIOCH UNIVERSITY CHAPTER
Grief Circle Event
On Monday, February 23rd at 9:00 a.m. PST/12:00 p.m. EST, we are holding space for folks to grieve the targeting, kidnapping, and murders of immigrants and community members in Minneapolis, as well as communities all around the U.S. You can register here.
Kendra is a licensed counselor living on the occupied land of the Duwamish (Seattle) who has hosted similar events in the past and is donating their time to the counseling students at Antioch University. You can find them at @kendraappecounseling on Instagram.
We're collaborating with Spectrum for two more events!
First, our next book club begins February 25th! Check out our Ongoing Events page for more information, and sign up here.
Then, Spectrum and CSJ will be hosting a screening of Casa Susanna on March 11th! Register here.
Calling all parents and future therapists!
Join us every first Wednesday of the month for a welcoming peer support space: where all emotions are honored, everyone feels seen, and we share resources to support one another on the parenting journey.
We’re also launching a Signal chat just for Antioch mental health grad students who are navigating parenthood, to foster even more connection and community. If you’d like to join, please email us at work-study-csj@antioch.edu.
CALL TO ACTION!
1.) Use our email template HERE to voice your outrage!
Write to Chancellor Groves & demand that Antioch divest from genocide.
2.) Print and distribute posters on campus.
We want the university to see this information reaching all campuses. An IRL presence helps us find and connect with students and faculty members who want to support. We are looking for 2-3 committed volunteers from each campus. Please email us at aucsj@antioch.edu if you are interested in getting involved!
3.) Forward this information!
One of the largest challenges to collective student action is reaching one another. Please share this information with any students or faculty members who might support. Information is power, we trust our academic community to care and to act.
