Cabin on the lake with an 80-year-old Woman and cat looking for someone to help with snow removal(private road and driveway are plowed), tending the woodstove, and bringing wood inside. The private dirt road is two-tenths of a mile 4wd is recommended.
Your bedroom would be on the cabin's second floor with a skylight. Furniture in the room can be removed. Small kitchen with a small fridge. You may want to have a dorm fridge in the bedroom. Small shared bathroom with shower. The front screened-in porch overlooks the lake.
The cabin was a summer-only place until she winterized and moved in full-time. She went from two houses to one. There is a lot of stuff but much of it is kind of antique-ish.
You would need to provide your food. This is a non-smoking property. The current cat would prefer no additional pets.

Seeking a responsible, mature graduate student or other person interested in living in Sharon, NH and providing overnight care for an 81-year old gentleman. He lives independantly and is able to take care of most of his personal needs (bathing, dressing, etc.) but feels safer with someone in the house at night when he often needs to get up. Live-in caregiver would have own bedroom, shared bathroom, and full access to living room, dining room and kitchen. House is in a private wooded locations, ideal for quiet study or at-home work. Caregiver's principal duties would includ being "on call" at night and preparing breakfast in the morning. Companionship at any time would be most welcome. Other caregivers would be present sevearl times per week during the day to assist with meals, medications, housekeeping, and errands.
Applicant should be a non-smoker, have their own transporation, and be comfortable with two cats. No rent will be charged, and a stipend, amout negotiable based on expenses, will be provided.
