MY JAM!
MY JAM!
I love making anything!
I guess you would say I am a bonifide maker!!
It fills my soul to try new things and spend time in the studio making things that are meaningful.
I believe that digging deep into processes and mediums develops a better understanding of myself and the world.
Check out the things I have made on my own and in class below.

Textile Collage & Stitching
This was the first project of my Visual Arts class. I began by collecting images to use in the project to create a collage about me. We used magazines as well as old music sheets, paper and textures.
This is the picture I chose to draw.
This is my final drawing.
I chose to draw the Prickly Pear fruit in this drawing because I grew up in a very remote part of the high desert. Living in this place and running free shaped who I am. The wisdom of the desert helps to remind me that I am patient, resilient and beautiful. I grew from the roots of this ancient place, like the beautiful fruit of the Prickly Pear cactus. In this graphite study of line, shape and value, I learned to see like an artist and now I can see the beauty of this plant in a deeper way.
